The River Performing and Visual Arts Center is a place where children with special needs can make new friends, gain independent living skills and feel welcome while expressing themselves creatively, thereby reducing social isolation. Families who care for children with special needs live with high levels of emotional and financial stress. The tuition for the Saturday Morning Program and the Fine Arts Summer Camp has remained low, and more than 60% of the students in these programs receive full scholarships. The River's Outreach Program is provided at no charge to approximately 20 community based sites. The River relies on grants, donations, and special events to raise the funds necessary to provide programming for our special students. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who has generously donated to our program and helped make a difference in the lives of our kids. Thank you!
