The River and Theatre Under The Stars are pleased to announce we are conducting another Musical Theatre Workshop on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 from 10am – 2pm.  Students will have a unique opportunity to rehearse and perform an adaptation of South Pacific.

The workshop will be held in the rehearsal studio at Theatre Under the Stars, 800 Bagby, located in the heart of the theatre district in downtown Houston. This performance workshop is open to students 7 - 19 years of age who have disabilities, chronic illness, or are economically disadvantaged.  More details about the workshop is listed below.

·          River students partner with students of The Academy, part of TUTS’ prestigious Humphreys School of Musical Theater.

·          Students will prepare and rehearse South Pacific. Families and friends return @ 1:30pm to view the performance.

·          Students must bring a sack lunch with food and a beverage.  Students should dress for comfort in casual clothes and sneakers.

·          A nurse will be on staff at the workshop.

·          The workshop fee is $25 to be made payable to The River.  Financial assistance is available. 

·          Space is limited and registration is on a first come, first served basis.
